Epimedium & Ginseng Formula

This formula is derived from a combination of You Gui Wan (Right Returning Formula) and Zuo Gui Wan (Left Returning Formula) two classic formulas from Zhang Jing-Yue c.1563-1640 from his original collection the 'Complete Works of Zhang Jing-yue’(jing yue quan shu), 1624.

The main action of this formula is to warm-tonify the Kidney Yang and enrich the Kidney Essence.
Thus, it is the main formula for treating sexual function in cases with depletion of the Kidney Yang and Essence.
In addition, it also warms and tonifies the Spleen Yang, nourishes the Kidney Yin, tonifies the Qi and activates the Blood.

Epimedium herb has been used orally for centuries for its ability to treat physical fatigue, coronory heart disease, arthralgia, memory loss, low libido, low testosterone, chronic leukopenia as well as viral myocarditis. It has been shown to have androgenic, immune stimulant, cardio tonic, anti-inflammatory, hypotensive and anti-viral actions.

Panax Ginseng is used orally in formulas for its ability to strengthen the heart and support the body during chronic illness. Its very effective when treating hemorrhagic disease such as heavy menstrual bleeding, organ prolapse, anemia, diabetes, palpitations, cognitive decline, impotence and fertility.
