Dr Nicholas J Beasley (DAOM)

Dr Nicholas Beasley (Acu) has over 12 years of experience both in the field of Western and Eastern medicine.

In 2005 Nicholas completed his advanced Diploma of Exercise Kinesiology which he later went on to build a strong business in physical conditioning and corrective exercise coaching in Brisbane CBD. Throughout his earlier career, Nicholas spent time educating his clients about the importance of good physical practices such as core conditioning, mobility and coordination and flexibility when looking to improve sports performance and enhance recovery. He was both heavily influenced and inspired by the work of Paul Chek and Ido Portal in the field of natural movement and correct motor patterns for rehabilitation and optimal performance.

During this time Nicholas was training in the art of Muay Thai boxing, a martial art highly associated with Buddhist culture and practice. Whilst training and improving both physical and mental aspects of the martial arts, Nicholas became more interested in the internal aspects of training such as Qigong and meditation.

In 2012 Nicholas began training Shaolin Kung Fu at Six Harmonies in Melbourne where he devoted most of his time to learning Kung fu form and dynamic Qigong practices.

Later in 2015, Nicholas moved to the Gold Coast where he set up and ran a small herbal tea dispensary at organic markets and retail lines. During this time he was treated with acupuncture for a chronic neck problem and visual health where he became more convinced in the direction of his studies and career. In 2017 Nicholas began his Bachelor of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine at Endeavour College of Natural Medicine which he completed in 5 years with an average distinction.

During his studies he founded Wuji Medicine to help teach students and practitioners the art of Qigong and Daoyin, both healing branches of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Following his graduation, Nicholas set out to deepen his knowledge and understanding in classical Chinese Medical theory based on the ancient philosophies and sciences of the I-Ching and Feng Shui. His authentic enthusiasm in honouring the classical theories led him directly into the path of Dr Sonia Tan L.Ac, DAOM, a direct student of the renowned Acupuncturist Dr Richardh Teh-Fu Tan.

Dr Richard Teh-Fu Tan O.M.D, L.Ac developed a highly effective and immediate acupuncture system known as the Balance Method in which multiple channels and points are used throughout the body to restore harmony and balance to the whole body. This method was refined and mastered over many generations of medical Doctors including the legendary Master Tung Ching Chang and Dr William Yei-Young and Dr Chen Chao who were all responsible for retaining the classical Chinese Medical knowledge that had been lost over the last 100 years.
Over the last couple of years Nicholas has had the opportunity to treat thousands of patients for all forms of physical and mental ailments. This has led him to seek deeper understanding and skill in pulse reading and prescribing highly effective herbal medicine treatments taught under Dr Jimmy Wei-Yen Chang PHD, MPH and L.Ac.

He has also facilitated Yin Yoga and Qigong teacher training courses alongside his partner Sofia Quintero.

Nicholas is currently operating a highly successful clinic and herbal dispensary in the heart of Launceston, Tasmania where he treats over 50 people per week.

His love and dedication for this ancient healing science keeps him inspired and motivated as he continues to share the gifts from the medicine with those around him.
